Hi Friends,
What a beautiful day it is to breathe on purpose.
July is the midpoint of the year and a time dedicated to honoring BIPOC Mental Health Month—I want to speak honestly and directly about why making mental health a daily ritual is not just important, but necessary.
For generations, our communities have carried the weight of systemic oppression—trauma woven into our histories, our bodies, and our nervous systems. This inherited burden shapes how we show up in the world today, influencing how we experience stress, healing, and freedom. Our mental health isn’t separate from this history—it is deeply connected to our liberation.
Take a mindful break with me and let’s breathe on purpose.
Our freedom, our power, begins with reclaiming our minds and hearts. It begins with choosing ourselves daily, especially when the world tries to tell us otherwise.
So, I invite you to journey with me throughout this July in a 4-week series designed to reconnect us with our truest selves. Together with my sister Tyneka Pack, we’ll explore practices rooted in breath, movement, mindfulness, and culturally relevant coaching—tools that meet us where we are and honor where we come from.
There is a quiet power in reclaiming your presence. Not the kind that demands applause or validation, but the kind that steadies your breath and reminds you—you have always been allowed to take up space.
Let this be your invitation to choose yourself every single day.
We are starting July 6th so enjoy your holiday weekend and then we lock in.
Also, my partner MHA has great info about BIPOC Mental Health. Take a look here.
